Welcome to My Global Village Trip Page
Team Leader: Kaitlin Loebach
Hi there, my name is Kaitlin Loebach. I grew up in London, Ontario which is where I still live. Travelling and seeing our world is my most favourite thing to do. As an adoptee I have always had the desire to go out, meet new people from all walks of life, and help those in need. I am passionate about my job where I teach yoga at Modo Yoga London. As well it's an honour to work at my father's Immigration Law practice which primarily focuses on assisting refugees with their asylum applications.
Passions of mine are to be active, immerse myself in culture, and work hard with a team creating lasting memories and connections. Habitat for Humanity Global Village builds brought all this together for me. My first Global Village trip was in 2013 in Zambia. After that build I made it my mission to bring as many people that I possibly can on builds. Since 2013 I have revisited Zambia on a build in 2015 and most recently in 2018 where I led my first team.
Habitat for Humanity is special because it connects people from all different walks of life as part of a movement to support decent and affordable housing for all. I believe that allowing yourself to experience different cultures, and be active in supporting poverty reduction projects, changes you and your outlook on our world. What is always so incredible to me on these builds is how in such a short period of time we connect with the homeowners and community.
I am honoured and very excited to be a part of this Big Build in Cambodia. In one village, teams from around the world will come together to build at least 28 homes over the course of one week.
Thank you very much for your support and contributions to the Big Build in Cambodia.
